Experienced/New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon - Aberystwyth, West Wales

If you’re a qualified veterinary surgeon looking for work-life balance, job satisfaction and opportunities to grow, this could be the job for you! Downes Veterinary Services, located by the sea in Aberystwyth, is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our friendly team.

As a family-run and vet-owned practice, we care about our staff. We offer a family-friendly working pattern to suit you – our full-time vets work a four day week plus 1:4 out of hours. The role can be tailored to your expertise, with our directors filling the gaps, so this is suitable for both mixed practitioners and small animal vets.

You will be joining a team of seven vets, with over 150 years of combined experience, who will be happy to support you as much or little as needed. You will have full autonomy to do your job the way you are confident and comfortable. We have room for specialisation if you have more skills to offer, and we encourage and support CPD.

Our staff retention is excellent, we have a loyal client base, and we are in an exciting phase of growth. We are looking for a hard-working vet who is excited to be a part of our journey for as long as possible and who wants to provide a community service with excellent patient care and continuity.

If you think you could be that vet, please contact Sam by email samantha@downesvet.co.uk to arrange a chat or to apply please send your CV and cover letter.
