Plumpton College open day
Careers advice and activities for whole family

East Sussex's Plumpton College will be opening its doors to an expected 10,000 visitors on Saturday, May 11.

The Open Day will give attendees the opportunity to find out about courses, training and apprenticeships, and view an array of practical displays.

Between the hours of 10am and 5pm, visitors will be able to gain careers advice, take tours of student accommodation and take part in a range of fun activities.

Plumpton's Open Day is a day out for all the family. It will host:
  • Children’s activities
  • Small animals
  • Countryside events
  • Woodland walks
  • Estate tours by tractor/trailer
  • Displays at the large college farm
  • Sporting activities
  • Shearing demonstrations
  • A fun dog show
  • Tree climbing skills
  • Horse riding displays
  • A climbing wall
  • Working forges
  • Marvellous machinery
  • Garden designs
  • Falconry
  • Game management displays
  • Dog grooming
  • Craft and trade stalls

The event is being held in association with the Sussex Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs. Entry costs £5 for adults, £3 for senior citizens and is free for children under 16.
