International Cat Care launches

Rebrand for cat charity at congress

What was formerly known as the Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB) has relaunched as International Cat Care at the BSAVA Congress 2013.

The rebrand launch took place as the first day of congress began, with the unveiling of the International Cat Care stand.

International Cat Care is a charity that aims to help improve the lives of millions of cats, both in the UK and internationally. The rebrand is hoped to more clearly reflect this work.

Further streamlining the charity's work, are the three core areas that International Cat Care covers - cat care advice, cat care in action and cat care for vets. Each individual area helps vets, professionals and consumers engage with the charity.

The rebrand also comes with a brand new website, which continues to provide information and advice on cat care.

Upon unveiling the new identity, BSAVA Congress attendees were given a glass of celebratory champagne and cupcakes.

Bradley Viner, vice president, said: "International Cat Care is bigger and better, whilst maintaining the charity's core values of informing cat owners about welfare and care".

Birmingham Dogs Home makes urgent appeal
Birmingham Dogs Home has issued an urgent winter appeal as it faces more challenges over the Christmas period.

The rescue centre has seen a dramatic increase in dogs coming into its care, and is currently caring for over 200 dogs. With rising costs and dropping temperatures, the charity is calling for urgent support.

It costs the charity £6,000 per day to continue its work.

Fi Harrison, head of fundraising and communications, said: "It's heart-breaking for our team to see the conditions some dogs arrive in. We really are their last chance and hope of survival."
