BVNA nursing programme at NI congress
Oncology-centred CPD programme for vet nurses

The British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) has announced that it will be hosting the nursing programme at this year's Northern Ireland Conference 2013.

The joint BVNA & British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) congress will be held on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 at Armagh City Hotel. Its focus will be oncology-based.

Those who attend BVNA's nursing lectures will be able to earn two CPD/CVE points on Friday, and six on Saturday.

The lectures will include Obtaining a diagnosis, Common tumours in small animals, Understanding the side-effects of treatment and The future of veterinary oncology.

Speaking at the event are veterinary specialists Rachel Burrow, Jessica Lawrence, Mary Marrington and Samantha Fontaine.

"This year's programme offers friendly and sociable opportunities for CPD and an excellent lecture programme with a broad plectrum of topics centred on oncology but encompassing the wider aspects of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and palliative care," said the BVNA.
