Tickets go on sale for Pet Show 2013
UK's largest pet show to take place in July this year

Tickets have gone on sale for the largest indoor and outdoor pet show in the UK. The event is taking place in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on 20th-21st July, and expects to attract around 20,000 visitors to its debut.

Organisers have also announced their charity partners, who will each have a zone at the show. The selected charities will work alongside organisers in the next few months in preparation for the show. Following a long selection process, four charities were chosen as partners: The British Hen Welfare Trust, Wood Green, The Animals Charity, The Pet Education Trust and The British Horse Society.

A percentage of each ticket purchased from the charity partners' websites will go towards helping them in their crucial work. Ian Sear, Show Director said:

“We decided earlier this year that we would like to partner with a number of charities for the inaugural show. I'm really looking forward to working with our chosen charity partners. They are fully committed to the show and the fact that they are representative of the sections at the show, make them a great fit.”

Commenting on the partnership, Dennis Baker, Chief Executive of Wood Green, The Animals Charity, said:

“Interest in this year's show is increasing all the time, so this is the ideal time for us to be partnering with the show. Working with The Pet Show will help us raise our profile for taking in unwanted and lost animals and helping them find secure and loving homes as well as giving us the opportunity to promote our key messages relating to responsible pet ownership.”

Founder of the British Hen Welfare Trust Jane Howarth added: ‘We are delighted to be a charity partner. As a relatively young charity, the partnership will help us raise important awareness and educational messages about hen welfare.

"The British Hen Welfare Trust finds homes for around 60,000 ex commercial hens each year which would otherwise go to slaughter at the end of their commercial lives. Working with The Pet Show will help us to encourage more people to think about keeping chickens as pets and will hopefully help us find even more homes next year.”

The Pet Show is set to feature a wider variety of animals, exhibitors and displays than any other multi-pet related event in the UK. A number of unique events are already confirmed to take place at the show, such as The Dog Agility Open Grand Finals 2013. More information about the show is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
