ESCCAP UK to hold free CPD day
Free CPD day to cover parasitology

The UK contingent of the European Scientific Counsel Companion Animal Parasites (ESCCAP UK) is set to hold a free CPD day next month to cover parasitology.

Inspired by the ESCCAP UK "Everyday Parasites" poster, the event will focus on parasitic diseases, allowing vets to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest parasite information and able to advise clients on the best treatments and control strategies.

The CPD day will be held on February 21 at the Statham Lodge Country House Hotel in Cheshire, kicking off another busy year for ESCCAP UK. With parasites being one of the most common causes of a pet being presented to a vet, the event is invaluable.

ESCCAP UK highlights some interesting - and occasionally surprising - statistics. For example, over 1.3 million of the UK's eight million cat owners don’t know that their pet has a flea infestation. Encouraging owners to "Live with their pet, not with its parasites", the poster will be available in print on the day.

Other resources have been launched as well as the poster, including the second edition of the ESCCAP Control of Vector-Borne Diseases in Dogs and Cats Guidelines.

ESCCAP UK wants the advice and information that they offer to be available to anyone at any time, so all resources can be accessed from the ESCCAP UK
website.

To register for this free-of-charge event, gaining six hours of CPD in turn, email ESCCAP UK or visit the website.
