European online veterinary journal launched
First EJCAP issue available now

It has been announced that the first fully online veterinary journal - European Journal of Companion Animal Practitioners (EJCAP) – has been launched and is available to view.

The inaugural issue is dedicated to diagnostic imaging. Several European diagnostic imaging
experts present their "tips and tricks" on radiographic, arthroscopic and ultrasound examination of selected joints and abdominal organs. It also provides an insight into the newer tools of CT and MRI to show how these can help to diagnose some more elusive conditions.

The new online journal also includes "how to" videos, interactive slideshows, "test your knowledge" and images of dynamic CT scan. Articles include Elbow dysplasia: arthroscopy vs. radiography by Henri van Bree; diagnostic imaging of the pancreas presented by Pete Mantis, and radiology in pulmonary disease by John Graham.

Additionally, articles are available from Bernd Tellhelm on radiographic scoring of elbow dysplasia, Frances Barr discusses imaging of the urinary tract, Federica Rossi writes about diagnostic imaging of the liver and biliary system, and finally, you can view MRIs and CTs in companion animal practice by Ingrid Gielen.

A new section has been introduced that will highlight one of the FECAVA member countries with each issue. This edition will see the focus on Spain, with a short documentary of a veterinary practice in Barcelona, and interviews with colleagues from the country.

The journal is exclusively available to FECAVA members.
To register, interested practitioners should go to EJCAP online and follow the instructions.
