Indonesian man is best friends with tiger
Unconventional pair videoed playing together

An Indonesian man has been filmed play fighting with his best friend, a 27 stone Bengal tiger.

Thirty-one-year-old Abdullah Sholeh is known as the Tiger Nanny, after raising the tiger from a cub and taking care of her 24 hours a day.

The pair, who live together in Melang, Indonesia, seem more than happy with their companionship. Abdullah is known to feed, play fight, and even sleep with the four-year-old tiger, called Mulan.

"I never feel scared," said Abdullah. "I consider her my everyday friend.

"I am happy to have been able to live with a tiger. I try to understand her nature, her mood, her daily and even momentary feelings in order to continue living with her. I stay with her day and night and she doesn't like it when I leave her."

However, the unconventional relationship isn't all fun and games, with Abdullah admitting that Mulan has got a little carried away when play fighting in the past.

In the footage, Abdullah shows his scarred eye.

"I was lucky, Mulan's claws nearly took my eye out. It scratched just below my eyeball and it cut the lower eyelid. If an accident was to happen, I know it is not her intention - she is just being a tiger - but I take that risk every time I go in with her," he said.
