Bigfoot-like creature filmed in Utah
Video of a tall, unknown creature has gone viral

A new video that shows a Bigfoot-like beast in Utah, USA, has gone viral.

The video, which has received over five million views on YouTube, shows a big black hairy figure in woodland just metres from where it was being filmed.

The man who recorded the footage had been camping with his family, and said he got his camera out because they thought it was a black bear. In the video someone can be heard whispering, "Do you think it's a bear?"

Suddenly the nearby rustling creature rises from his position to stand full height, shocking the cameraman and the people beside him. Abandoning filming, the witnesses run to safety.

The cameraman known as Beard Card, who did not want his name made public, said: "We had actually been standing there for a while. We had thought it was a bear up to that point, but when it stood up and looked at us, it was just a massive animal."

Beard Card estimates that the creature was taller than his six-foot brother, by at least two feet, however, the black bear - which is the only bear species that lives in Utah - is smaller than that when standing on its hind legs, something the species rarely does.

The creature seems to meet all the classic qualifications of what the Bigfoot community calls a "blobsquatch", an ambiguous, shadowy image that puts Bigfoot in the eye of the beholder.
