First NAVP conference is a success
Veterinary physiotherapists gather for first conference

The National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP) is celebrating the success of its first annual conference.

A combined audience of veterinary surgeons, nurses, practicing physiotherapists and students attended the conference, which focused on equine and canine orthopaedics.

Speakers at the event, which took place at Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, discussed cruciate ligament injuries, treating joint disease, rehabilitation processes of kissing spines, and new observations on laminitis.

NAVP aims to promote professional practice within veterinary physiotherapy and encourage educational programmes and research with its growing membership.

Halina Tombs, NAVP Chairman, said: The feedback we got from delegates was excellent. We offered this as a CPD day and I know that those who attended felt that they really gained something from it."
