Greatest racehorse in the world retires
Frankel retires unbeaten

Heralded as the best racehorse in the world, Frankel - trained by Sir Henry Cecil and ridden by Tom Queally - has retired after winning all 14 of his races.

The four year old's last race was the QIPCO Champion Stakes on British Champions Day at Ascot. After a slow start, Frankel soon galloped into history books as he brought home his 14th victory and will now retire, unbeaten, to stud.

His trainer, Sir Henry Cecil, said: “I can’t believe in the history of racing there’s ever been a better racehorse", and Lord Grimthorpe, racing manager to Frankel's owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah, called him "the supreme equine athlete", adding, "we won't see his like again."
