Greece host the upcoming ICAWC
Next month the 16th International World Animal Welfare Conference (ICAWC) takes place in Vravrona, Greece.
Held from 16 to 18 October, this year's event has a major theme of behaviour and training, though numerous other topics will also be presented, such as veterinary care on the move, animal population control, microchipping and travelling diseases.
The conference boasts more than 20 speakers from all over the world, and attendees include veterinarians, animal welfare organisations, campaigners and interested individuals from across the globe.
Run by the Dogs Trust, this is the leading event of its kind, providing a platform where delegates woking in the field of animal welfare can network, exchange knowledge and gain support.
Jenny Stavisky, Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, said: "I find ICAWC a real eye-opening experience. With so many renowned speakers and hundreds of enthusiastic delegates, you cannot help but be challenged, learn and be inspired."
