Zoo companion video goes viral

Video footage has been posted online of a piglet rescuing a baby goat in distress at a US children's zoo.

The footage shows the piglet paddling across the shallow pond water to the struggling young buck who lets out a loud shriek as he appears to get his hoof stuck. The piglet then bravely pushes the goat to safety.

Once the pair reach dry land the amateur cameraman hails: "And there he is, the hero pig!" taking a shot of the piglet as he happily grazes and the goat runs past.

It is not clear why the goat was in the water.

The video has received over four million views on YouTube since it was uploaded last week. Viewers have posted various comments, such as a quote from the '90s film Babe: "That'll do pig..", though some have condemned those watching at the zoo, including the cameraman, for not doing more to help.
