SPVS/VPMA host “Technology Day”
Event aimed to help increase IT knowledge

The Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS) and the Veterinary Practice Manager Association (VPMA) teamed up to host a “Technology Day” in Solihull on October 11th.

They believe technology should make the running of a practice easier, more efficient and more profitable and they hope the workshops and stands will help to bring practice staff up to speed.

The workshops will cover a range of technology and new applications relevant to modern veterinary practice. In each case these workshops will explain the relevance and possible applications of new technology available to practices.

Workshops will include:
◦    Vet:Client communication in 2022
◦    Cloud computing explained
◦    Telephone system technology
◦    Smartphones and tablet technology for vets
◦    Top websites reviewed
◦    Google masterclass
◦    Client data that works for you
◦    Loyalty cards
◦    Embracing IT change.

Exhibitors will include providers of practice management systems, website designers, social media consultants and telecommunication system suppliers.

The SPVS & VPMA Technology Day costs £100 for SPVS/VPMA members (or £150 for non-members) and will be held at the Village Hotel in Solihull, from 9:30am to 5pm on 11 October 2012.
