The tiny kittens arrived in a terrible state.

RSPCA staff worked round-the-clock to care for the animals. 

Eight critically ill kittens who were on the ‘brink of death’ have made an incredible recovery thanks to the efforts of the RSPCA.

Bunny, Marshall, Nimbus, Xander, Woody, Ace, Neo and Oslo arrived at RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield & Bradford at the end of July when a concerned member of the public brought them into reception in a terrible state. 

Aged just 14 weeks old, the tiny kittens were covered in fleas, suffering from cat flu and battling a giardia infection. Some were unable to open their eyes due to being so sore, while others had collapsed. 

The team worked round the clock to bring the kittens back to full health, with the cost of their treatment, including neutering and vaccinations, setting the branch back a staggering £1,800. 

In just two weeks, however, the kittens made a remarkable recovery. Most of the kittens have already found new homes, while the team is hopeful the remaining kittens will find their forever families soon. 

Digital manager at the branch, Fay Gibbons, said: “It goes to show what love and care can do for an animal - their transformation has been amazing in such a short time, and we’re all so proud of how far they’ve come.
 
“Some recovered more quickly than others and some still need additional care, but none of them are suffering or in pain anymore and it’s been amazing to see them blossom.”
