AT Veterinary Systems launches update to Spectrum software

AT Veterinary Systems has officially released the latest update to its Spectrum practice management software (PMS).

In one of the largest releases of practice management software in the company’s 35-year history, the veterinary-owned software company has begun a phased rollout of Spectrum v50.

AT Veterinary Systems has been developing its Spectrum PMS for over 25 years, working directly with veterinary professionals to inform its progress. The software includes a number of tailored modules designed to prioritise practice efficiency.

The Spectrum software can be used at all veterinary practices, large and small, as well as charities and universities. Spectrum users can choose which parts of the software they use, adapting their experience to specific practice requirements.

The new Spectrum v50 update integrates the existing software with practice’s own websites and mobile applications. This also includes electronic communications, health plans, laboratories and online payment systems.

Spectrum v50 is already being installed in practices, where it is gaining positive feedback.

Robert Tillyard, head of software development at AT Veterinary Systems says, “We have worked for several years on developing Spectrum v50 which has been designed to improve just about every aspect of the management of the modern veterinary practice.

“It is built on our solid secure DDS platform and has numerous features to help the development of small animal, large animal and equine practice as well as referral centres”

Jenny Harley CMS RVN, training and development manager at AT Veterinary Systems says, “The software has recently been installed and implemented in one of our largest multi-site practices as part of the planned and phased rollout to our customers. I am very pleased with how this has gone and the feedback has been excellent.

“A unique feature of Spectrum PMS is the control and configuration panel which determines which elements of the software are switched on as well as how the practice wishes to use them. This means that practice can set their own internal upgrade programme. With twenty new or updated user guides, I expect practices will be putting this feature to good use.”
