New collection free-to-access until January 2023.
The British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) has released its new collection on One Health, an area of veterinary, human and environmental health that considers their interconnected relationship.
Comprised of resources such as Companion articles, Congress podcasts and chapters from BSAVA Manuals, the collection is accessible via the BSAVA Library.
Krista Arnold, honorary secretary of BSAVA, commented: “The complicated relationship between human and animal health has been the subject of scientific investigation since the 19th century.
“Important discoveries and the recognition of disease connections have helped to develop strategies for disease prevention in humans and animals alike.
“This collection in the BSAVA Library will contribute to further understanding and knowledge of this important topic.”
With One Health quickly moving to the foreground of veterinary medicine and research, the new collection considers antimicrobial resistance, sustainability, rabies, linking human-animal abuse and passive smoking, among other relevant topics.
Accessible via the BSAVA Library, the collection is free to view until the end of December 2022, after which it will be £16.25 for BSAVA members and £25 for non-members.
