Veterinary professionals invited to Fellowship Day 2022
RCVS Fellowship Day celebrates the contributions of outstanding individuals.
The event will celebrate the contributions of outstanding individuals.

Members of the profession are being invited to celebrate the first in-person RCVS Fellowship Day since 2019.

Taking place on 11 November at the Royal Institution, London, RCVS Fellowship Day will see veterinary surgeons who were awarded the FRCVS title in 2020, 2021 and 22 officially instated to the Board, along with the new Chair of the Fellowship Board, Dr Chris Tufnell.

The event is open to all FsRCVS and MsRCVS who wish to celebrate the contributions of outstanding individuals within the veterinary professions. During the day, guests will be able to attend a range of talks, presentations and panel discussions, including a speech from keynote speaker Professor Alan Wilson - a world-renowned expert in the locomotory mechanics of animals.

Angharad Belcher, RCVS director for the advancement of the professions, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming our new Fellows and being able to celebrate their outstanding achievements and contributions to the profession together in an in-person setting after the recent years of virtual events. We will be celebrating 2020, 2021 and 2022 Fellows, as well as facilitating interactive sessions for all to take part.

“Fellowship Day aims to showcase the variety and extent of the Fellowship’s knowledge base and gives all members the opportunity to exchange their views and ideas, and to provide suggestions for our Science Advisory Panel and other areas of potential activity.

“We are also delighted to be welcoming veterinary students once again as part of our Fellows of the Future competition. The Fellowship really is for the benefit of the entire veterinary profession, and there are a number of tickets available for MsRCVS who would like to be involved.”
