Comedy wildlife photography shortlist
Awards publishes hilarious images from 2022 finalists.
The Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards has published the shortlisted images for its 2022 competition.
This year, the shortlist consists of 40 standalone photographs and 10 portfolio entries, which will be considered by the judging panel, made up of comedians, actors, world renowned wildlife photographers, wildlife experts and conservationists.
Tom Sullam, co-founder of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, discussed the finalists: “With so much going on in the world, we could all use a bumper dose of fun and laughter and this year’s finalists have definitely delivered that!
“When you see these amazing photographs like the one of an elephant seal, trying to use his neighbour’s head as pillow (and we’ve all been there) or a wallaby at sunset, seemingly about to launch another wallaby into space, it makes you smile and wonder at the incredible animals that are on this earth with us, and we love that about the competition.”
Winners of each category will be announced on 8 December, and the overall winner will receive a one-week safari in the Maasai Mara, and a unique trophy handmade in Tanzania.
