“BVA Live is an exciting new event and has something for everyone in the veterinary community" - Justine Shotton, BVA president.
Talks include 'rebuilding veterinary businesses for health, wealth and happiness'
The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has released further details about its upcoming BVA Live event, which takes place 23-24 June at the NEC in Birmingham.
BVA Live aims to bring the veterinary community together 'to champion, support and empower the profession'. Held in collaboration with London Vet Show and CloserStill Media (CSM), the event promises an extensive exhibition, big issue debates and high-quality CPD, plus opportunities to network.
As part of the event, BVA has announced an exciting programme of business and careers talks - including 'How to make your CV stand out from the crowd' and 'rebuilding veterinary businesses for health, wealth and happiness'.
Former vet and now managing director of Sandstone Communications, Paul Horwood, will be discussing ‘Leadership – being outside of your comfort zone’ in the BVA Career and Debate Theatre on the Friday (24 June).
Paul said: “I am so looking forward to catching up with friends and colleagues. Leadership is all about the people, talking, interacting, motivating and inspiring each other, and it is important that we spend time connecting and interacting in reality after so long behind a screen."
BVA president Justine Shotton added: “BVA Live is an exciting new event and has something for everyone in the veterinary community, from sessions on clinical work to debates on the latest developments and issues facing the profession. The business and careers sessions, which cover a wide range of topics, will provide practical tips and advice to empower you to grow and thrive in your career.
“There will also be the opportunity to network with other professionals and experts. We are really looking forward to hosting the event with CloserStill Media and can’t wait to see so many veterinary professionals together.”
