Tributes pour in for beloved Milton Keynes vet
Paul Manning sadly passed away only a year after retirement, and tributes praise his compassion and humour.
Hundreds of tributes have been paid to Paul Manning after he sadly passed away following his retirement.

Tributes have poured in for Paul Manning, a “passionate and dedicated” vet, who sadly passed away on Saturday 3 July.

Paul Manning dedicated his life to helping animals, and spent many decades treating the local pets of Newport Pagnell, where he founded Astonlee Veterinary Centre in the 1980s.

Paul was a well-known and loved member of the local community, due to his dedication to the animals of Newport Pagnell, and compassionate nature. 

Astonlee said in a statement: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Astonlee Founder, Paul Manning. Paul peacefully passed away on Saturday 3rd July 2021 at Willen Hospice, with his wife Hilary by his side.

"Paul thoroughly enjoyed his work as a vet, working with his clients and their pets and he also enjoyed his music and his faith. He will be greatly missed by the Astonlee Team."
Tributes for Paul have poured in on the Astonlee Veterinary Centre Facebook page, where hundreds of community members have shared their fond memories of Paul, and expressed their condolences. 

The several hundred tributes written on the Astonlee Facebook page praise Paul's kindness, humour, compassionate nature, and incredible talent, and can be read and added to here. 

Astonlee asks that anyone wishing to make a donation in Paul's honour makes it out to Willen Hospice, for the care that Paul received there.
