Rabbit Awareness Week packs now available
This year's RAW campaign will centre on how best to support rabbits throughout the different stages of their lives.
Practices urged to get involved with 2021 “Hopping through the years” campaign.

Veterinary practices are being urged to get involved in this year’s Rabbit Awareness Week (RAW) campaign (28 June-2 July) by educating owners on various aspects of bunny care.

Now in its fifteenth year, RAW is a week dedicated to improving the health and welfare of rabbits across the world. This year’s campaign, entitled “Hopping through the Years”, will centre on how best to support rabbits throughout the different stages of their lives.

During RAW, organisers will be sharing educational content on their social media platforms - but practices are also being encouraged to download a free pack containing care guides, social media schedules and a helpful checklist about rabbit care.

RAW is endorsed by the BVA and BSAVA and supported by a wealth of charity partners, including the PDSA and Blue Cross. As well as raise awareness of the needs of rabbits,  this year's event will also reflect on memorable moments from past RAWs.

Holly Ackroyd, senior brand manager at event organiser Burgess Pet Care, said: “Hopping Through the Years’ feels like the perfect theme as we mark fifteen years of successful RAW campaigns. We’re keen to stress, though, that RAW 2021 is very much about looking to the future as well as celebrating the past.

“Our key focus remains on improving the health and wellbeing of pet rabbits in the UK at all stages of their life, as their needs change and owners may need to adapt the care they provide for them.”
