50 dogs saved in Pembrokeshire rescue operation
The animals were safely retrieved from the site and transferred to council premises.
Investigation to secure dogs’ health and welfare underway

More than 50 dogs have been removed from a property in Pembrokeshire following concerns their welfare “had potentially been compromised”.

Staff from Pembrokeshire County Council, Dyfed Powys Police and Dogs Trust attended the operation at the premises near Pembroke Dock on Tuesday (29 Jan).

Dogs Trust said the animals were safely retrieved from the site and transferred to council premises in their specially equipped animal ambulance.

“The health and welfare of the dogs is our priority and we will do all we can to assist Pembrokeshire County Council,” it said. “As the investigation is ongoing we can’t go into any further detail at this time.”
