Customers urged to return products for a refund

Leading supermarket Sainsbury’s is recalling a range of its pet food pouch selections over high levels of Vitamin D.

In a statement, the retailer said: ‘Sainsbury’s is recalling a selection of its pet food pouch selections because they may contain high levels of vitamin D which exceed the maximum recommended intake.

‘If you have concerns that your pet may be showing symptoms of illness after eating one of the affected products then you should seek immediate veterinary advice.’

Customers that have bought any of the products have been urged to stop feeding them to their pet and to return them for a full refund. The supermarket will also be displaying notices in store to explain to customers why the products are being recalled.
