Cat cocktail parties to improve feline welfare
The nine cocktails (nine for cats’ nine lives) have been adapted from some of the most popular cocktail recipes in the world.
Attendees to enjoy 'Mogitos’ and ‘Moscow Mews’

A unique fundraising initiative has been launched by International Cat Care (iCatCare) to raise money in its 60th Anniversary year.

Individuals will be able to host their own Cat Cocktail Parties and donations made at the event will go towards improving the lives of cats across the world.

To help people plan their events, the charity has put together a free Cat Cocktail Party Pack. The pack contains advice on how to host a cocktail party, nine cat-themed cocktail recipe cards and a special cat quiz and prize for the winner.

The nine cocktails (nine for cats’ nine lives) have been adapted from some of the most popular cocktail recipes in the world. They include the mouth-watering ’Mogito’ and the delectable ‘Moscow Mew’.

‘Individuals can invite friends, family, colleagues or clients to enjoy cat-themed cocktails, at a fun feline event,’ the charity said on its website. ‘Attendees will be asked to make a donation to International Cat Care which the party host will collect and pay to International Cat Care.

‘This is also a great opportunity to celebrate cats with other individuals who appreciate them just as much as you do and want to see more progress in the welfare of all cats everywhere.’

Money raised from the Cocktail Parties will go towards iCatCare’s global work improving the lives of cats. This includes the charity’s Cat-Friendly Clinic programme and the Cat-Friendly Homing programme, which aims to ensure good feline welfare is at the heart of all homing efforts.
