Fly spray defect prompts product recall
The recall follows a number of reports of defective aluminium foil seals in a number of units.
Zoetis arranging return of the affected batches

The Veterinary Medicines Directorate has issued a product recall alert for Diosect 5 per cent w/v Concentrate for Cutaneous Spray Solution 250ml.

Manufactured by Zoetis UK limited, the product is specially developed for the control of flies and lice on horses.

The recall follows a number of reports of defective aluminium foil seals in a number of units, resulting in slight leakage of the product during storage.

The issue affects batch numbers E16140 (expires March 2019), E16178 (expires May 2019) and E16162 (expires ay 2019).

Zoetis UK Ltd is contacting wholesale dealers to arrange return of the affected batches. Any technical queries relating to the recall should be directed to Zoetis Technical Services on 0845 300 8034, option 1.
