'Having a satisfying career is important for mental health'
Cheryl Scudamore
“It’s important to get involved in the profession if you want to make change happen”.

Council candidate shares her hopes for the future of the RCVS

There’s a view among some veterinary professionals that there are too many academics and people with vested interests on the RCVS Council. But Professor Cheryl Scudamore, who is standing for RCVS Council this year, believes that it is up to others from the profession to stand for election so that a more diverse range of voices can be heard.

“It’s important to get involved in the profession if you want to make change happen,” she tells VetCommunity.

“I have played an active role across many areas of veterinary pathology but feel that there are common issues that affect everyone in the profession that the RCVS should address.”
