Delegates at the National Equine Forum can get up-to-date on equine research.
Speakers discuss welfare, research and legislation at NEF

Speakers from Government, veterinary science, welfare and equestrian sport will be brought together at this year's National Equine Forum (NEF).

Delegates at the event can get up-to-date with scientific research and hot topics such as breeding and the horse meat industry.

Defra secretary Owen Paterson will give a perspective on the equestrian industry, while other speakers will examine legislation and the racing industry and the challenges facing horses in the 21st century.

One talk will focus on the horse and rider movement, balance and straightness, from the perspectives of a vet, farrier, saddler and physiotherapist.

Other topics to be covered will include the global growth of horse sport and the role of an equine database as an effective means of control.

Tickets are available at £100 per person, including lunch and refreshments, for equestrian professionals and trade delegates. To apply, email Tracy Allen or see visit www.bef.co.uk for further information.
