Panel will offer advice and guidance to the profession
A scientific advisory panel, formed by the RCVS to offer expert guidance, has held its first meeting this week.
Chaired by Prof Lord Trees, the panel will advise on scientific issues relevant to the professional conduct of veterinary surgeons; on research-related issues relating to the education of UK veterinary students; ensure that any debate on veterinary issues is based on good evidence; and provide general guidance on scientific issues for veterinary practice.
Rita Jorge, head of research for RCVS knowledge, said: “This was a very productive first meeting for the members of the science advisory panel and the members look forward to supporting the College and the profession through the provision of expert scientific advice and guidance."
