Line up announced for London Vet Show
Delegates to benefit from new farm animal and equine programmes

Ahead of this year's London Vet Show, which takes place from November 21 to 22, organisers have announced brand new farm animal and equine programmes, as well as companion animal clinical and popular business streams.

Headlining this year's companion animal clinical, which has been programmed by the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), is Colorado State University's Howie B Seim III.

Organisers have this year introduced 12 brand new sessions on farm animal work programmed by the BVA, covering a broad range of topics for those in mixed practice. Acclaimed figures to speak at the event include Robert Blowey, Dai Grove White and Dick Sibley.

Also programmed by the BVA this year is a set of 12 new equine sessions.

These include:
  • Emergency protocol, by Jim Green
  • Update on laminitis, cushings and equine metabolic syndrome, by Nicola Menzies Gow
  • Wound management in horses, by Bruce Bladon
  • Critical decisions on equine colic and when to refer, by Andrew Higgins
  • Insight into how best to perform a new foal check, by Emily Haggett
As well as sessions by the RVC, Burtons and Merial

The event's popular business stream will return this year with lectures covering issues relevant to the veterinary profession in the current economic climate, such as marketing, team motivation and health and safety.

This year's sessions include:
  • How to survive in a corporate world & add £50,000 per vet per year, by Alan Robinson
  • How to make the most of your online presence, by Tim Puddle
  • Fixing the consulting room experience, by Alison Lambert
Set to take place at the Grand Hall Olympia in November, this year's London Vet Show has already seen 3,500 registrants.
