College sessions aim to help pupils make career choices

Plumpton College is offering school students a range of taster days to help them make decisions about their future studies and careers.

Pupils in years 9, 10 and 11 who are interested in a career in the rural industries or working in the great outdoors will be able to go along to the college and its centres during the next half-term, from October 28 to 31.

The college, which is located in East Sussex, offers a variety of land-based courses and has out-centres in Netherfield, Robertsbridge, Flimwell, Brighton and North Wales.

Free taster courses will give an introduction to the some of the study options at Plumpton, giving students the chance to spend some time experiencing the subject of their choice.

Available courses include:
  • Horticulture
  • Countryside and conservation

  • Agricultural and horticultural machinery
  • Animal management
  • Blacksmithing and silversmithing
