Last chance to book breeder seminars

Educational events aimed to improve dog health

There are a few places left for those who wish to attend the upcoming breeder education seminars, run by the Kennel Club.

Covering health issues, breeding practices and scientific developments, the seminars are aimed at helping both experienced and novice breeders with their puppy rearing programmes.

One of the seminars, held on September 29 at the Royal Veterinary College in Hertfordshire, still has limited availability, as does two seminars held at Bristol Veterinary School on October 5 and 6.

Speakers across the three remaining events include Dr Nicholas Granger, Professor Edward Hall, John O'Connor and Aimee Llewellyn.

They will cover an array of topics, from
how to avoid caesarean sections and losses of newborn puppies, to identifying genetic markers for complex diseases.

Each event costs £25 per person, including morning refreshments, a buffet lunch, afternoon refreshments and a delegate pack. For further information, email Fay Moore.
