Behaviour event focuses on communication

Symposium to be held marking 21 years of UKRCB

A symposium focusing on communication is to be held by the UK Registry of Canine Behaviourists (UKRCB), a national network of canine behaviour advisors.

This year's event, entitled "Do you speak dog? Does he speak human?", coincides with the organisation's 21st anniversary.

The topic will be presented by animal behaviourist, Dr Anne McBride, who has lectured all over the world on the human-animal bond and various aspects of animal behaviour.

Her presentation will look at the day-to-day communication between humans and animals, with particular reference to the importance of understanding body language.

With huge benefits to owner-pet relationships, learning to read body language will form a key part of the discussion.

The symposium will take place at the Hilton Coventry Hotel on September 22, 2013. For further information or to book a place, visit the UKRCB website.
