Veterinary Surgeon — Radlett, Hertfordshire


Battlers Green Veterinary Centre seeks an experienced veterinary surgeon to join its friendly team at their proudly independent, small animal practice which is based in a beautiful rural shopping village in Hertfordshire (within the M25).

We are looking for a vet with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience to join our two vet practice. Working with small animals only (with some small furries work), performing surgery and following medical cases. Your work pattern will be a 40-hour week – with Thursdays off, working 1:3 Saturday mornings, with the practice closed on Sundays.

The team includes three RVNs, one VCA and a full-time receptionist.

Battlers Green Veterinary Centre is equipped with a diagnostic suite, including digital X-ray units, a Class IV therapeutic laser, Doppler flow ultrasound and a bespoke dental suite.

The practice is RCVS PSS Scheme accredited and Silver Award iCatCare friendly certified, with separate dog and cat kennels and waiting areas.

    Blog SpotThe latest Equine Disease Surveillance report has been released, with details on equine disease from Q4 of 2025.

    The report, produced by Equine Infectious Disease Surveillance, includes advice on rule changes for equine influenza vaccination.

    Statistics and maps detail recent outbreaks of equine herpes virus, equine influenza, equine strangles and equine grass sickness. A series of laboratory reports provides data on virology, bacteriology, parasitology and toxicosis.

    This issue also features a case study of orthoflavivus-associated neurological disease in a horse in the UK.
