Veterinary Surgeon – Sandiway, Cheshire


Hollybank Veterinary Centre would like to welcome a veterinary surgeon to their growing team.

Hollybank is an RCVS accredited small animal hospital that provides high quality first opinion care with two operating theatres, a dental suite, in-house laboratory and a range of diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, DR X-ray, video endoscopy and laparoscopy.The branch practice at Winnington meets the same high standards.

You will be joining a friendly team of eight veterinary surgeons including advanced practitioners in anaesthesia, ECC and medicine, a diplomat orthopaedic surgeon and a team of visiting specialists. They are supported by eight RVNs, two SVNs and a dedicated front of house team.

Ideally, you will have around one years experience, be a good team player who is enthusiastic and proactive about providing an excellent first opinion service. You will be offered consistent support and the opportunity for professional growth.

Out of hours is covered by a dedicated provider and the vets share responsibility for in-patient care on a 1 in 8 rota.

  • Equine Disease Surveillance report released for Q4 2025
    Blog SpotThe latest Equine Disease Surveillance report has been released, with details on equine disease from Q4 of 2025.

    The report, produced by Equine Infectious Disease Surveillance, includes advice on rule changes for equine influenza vaccination.

    Statistics and maps detail recent outbreaks of equine herpes virus, equine influenza, equine strangles and equine grass sickness. A series of laboratory reports provides data on virology, bacteriology, parasitology and toxicosis.

    This issue also features a case study of orthoflavivus-associated neurological disease in a horse in the UK.
