Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (Maternity/Permanent) — Coventry

Godiva Vets, an independent, single site practice in Coventry, is seeking a dynamic veterinary surgeon to join a successful and growing team. We are an RCVS and ISFM Gold accredited practice, as well as being Silver Rabbit friendly.

Our practice has been caring for the local animal community since 1985, and have developed an excellent reputation for forward-thinking veterinary care. We have a full suite of diagnostic equipment and recently went through extensive redevelopment.

This opportunity will suit an RCVS registered vet who is confident with a mixture of ops and consults. Ideally you will have 2-3 years UK experience, but all levels are considered including new graduates (one year post grad). We are an RCVS Approved Graduate Development Practice, with a supportive and experienced team of seven vets, 10 RVNs, one SVN and five receptionists.

The role is initially for maternity cover, with the potential to become permanent. You will be working 20-38 hours across a 2-4 day week, including one in six Saturday mornings. You will not be expected to work OOHs, bank holidays or Sundays.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary (DOE – up to £75,000)
  • Five weeks’ holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Fixed 12 month rota
  • Generous CPD allowance, including certificate level
  • Professional fees paid (RCVS and VDS)
  • Auto-enrolment on a contributory pension scheme
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption benefits
  • Company discounts
  • Social events
  • And more
