Equine Ambulatory Veterinary Surgeon (Full-time/Part-time) — Cheshire

Tom Walters Equine Vets is looking for an equine ambulatory veterinary surgeon to join its Cheshire-based practice.

You will be working alongside two other experienced ambulatory veterinary surgeons to provide first opinion veterinary services to our diverse range of clients. The ambulatory service sees clients from across Cheshire and Staffordshire.

The practice will provide you with exclusive use of a vehicle (also available for personal use), with the full array of mobile diagnostic equipment, laptop and mobile.

You will be joining a small, established team with low turnover. Despite being an ambulatory practice, the team works closely together and there is a high level of camaraderie and a wealth of expertise from both specialist equine qualifications and years of experience.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in dentistry or a willingness to progress in this direction. You will have a choice of a one in three or one in four out-of-hours rota.

Tom Walters Equine Vets is proudly independent and intends to stay so. The right candidate will enjoy clinical freedom and their contributions will be welcome to progress the practice. Although the practice is currently entirely ambulatory, there is a possibility it may take on standing surgeries.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary (£40,000-£75,000 DOE)
  • Professional memberships paid
  • Flexible start and finish times
  • Eight weeks’ annual leave in addition to our buy/sell holiday scheme.
  • Generous pension contributions
  • Exclusive use of vehicle with all costs covered (personal mileage charged where appropriate)
  • Time off accrued for OOH services
  • Application for visa sponsorship has been granted
