Small Animal Vet (Full or Part-time) – Horwich and Westhoughton, West Bolton

Pike Moor Vets, an independent practice with two sites on the west side of Bolton, is looking for a first opinion veterinary surgeon to join its team.

We welcome applicants with a range of experience – what’s of greater importance to us is enthusiasm and compassion. We are looking for someone who wants to enjoy and contribute to this wonderful profession. Optimism is not necessary, as you will find that when you join us.

You will be joining a team of four other vets, and although you will have occasional sole charge, you will mostly be working alongside another vet. You will also be supported by our great team of RVNs, ANAs, receptionists and other administrative and support staff.

We don’t have any specialists (yet), but our vets do have keen interests in medicine, dermatology, exotics, ophthalmology, dentistry and soft tissue surgery. We offer BOAS and MMP surgery within the practice.

We have a wonderful client base who respond to our care in kind. Locums who work with us like to return and even become permanent members of the team!

The practice is located in a great position on the Greater Manchester/Lancashire border. Urbanites will enjoy all that Manchester has to offer, whilst there are moors on the doorstep for walking/riding, as well as access to the Lake District, North Wales, west coast and the Peak District.

  • Salary of £40,000 to £60,000
  • Full-time four-day week, plus one in four Saturdays
  • Company pension
  • 28 days’ holiday
  • No on call
  • Flexible CPD funding

If you wish to apply, or would like an informal chat about the role over the phone, please email ali@pikemoorvets.co.uk
