Veterinary Surgeon – Chorley, Lancashire


We are looking for a forward-thinking, motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly team at Chorley Vets in Lancashire.

You will be joining a team of 4 vets, 9 RVNs and 3 SVNs at an independent, family and nurse run small animal and exotics practice which is rapidly expanding. This purpose built, well-equipped practice has 6 consulting rooms, a comfort room, separate dog/cat/exotic/isolation wards, 2 theatres and an extensive laboratory.

Applicants will ideally have 2 years+ experience in small animal practice, though new graduates may be considered. This is a full-time position over 4 days, plus 1 in 3/4 Saturdays (9am-4pm). Some sole charge will be required.

The package includes:

  • salary £35,000- £45,000 per annum (experience dependent)
  • 28 days holiday
  • generous CPD allowance
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • funded team day/nights out
  • fully funded certificate opportunity for right candidate
  • mental health advocate on site.

    Blog SpotVetlife has been shortlisted for the Association of Charity Organisations (ACO) Campaign of the Year Award 2024.

    The nomination recognises its campaigning to raise awareness of neurodiversity within the profession and produce resources for individuals and workplaces. Vetlife's campaign has included talks, lived experience blogs, and an awareness video.
