Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Southport, Merseyside


Town Vets is a long established, independent, small animal practice located in the heart of Southport. We are a GDP, PSS accredited training practice.

You will be joining a friendly working environment with a team consisting of two vets and a regular locum, four RVNs, one SVN and one VCA. We believe in providing a fair and reasonable service and ensuring high standards of care for our patients and clients.

Our practice is fully equipped with excellent facilities, including surgery, in-house lab, diagnostic imaging, cryotherapy and more.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced GP small animal vet, with high standards of customer care and good communication skills. New graduates or a part-time/regular locum would also be considered.

No OOH/on call required and working hours include weekdays and Saturday mornings on a rota – hours can be discussed further upon application. Further development (CPD) will be encouraged, supported and funded.

Salary is according to experience.

  • Cold-water dip to raise funds for Vetlife
    Blog SpotThe veterinary mental health charity Vetlife is inviting the veterinary community to join it for a sponsored cold-water dip.

    The event will take place at Walpole Bay, Margate, on 17 May during Mental Health Awareness Week. Participants of all abilities can join in the challenge and are advised to bring a towel, a hot drink, a snack, and warm clothes to get changed into afterwards.

    Those taking part are being asked to try to raise £100 each to support the work of the charity.
