Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon/ Postgraduate Tutor


Central College of Animal Studies is seeking an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon with a minimum of five years experience to join its team of postgraduate tutors.

Graduates enrolled on the PgVetMed programme develop their clinical skills while working in practice. Tutors are responsible for facilitating this through one-to-one teaching, group sessions and practical training days.

The role will include mentoring the graduates on a weekly basis, to assist with practice-based learning, management and oversight of their professional development portfolio, as well as formative assessment.

Based in Suffolk, the hours are varied with a mixture of in-practice work with the students, assessing portfolios and tutoring.

Opportunities are for full or part-time.

  • Webinar to focus on equine worm control
    Blog SpotVets, veterinary nurses and RAMAs are being invited to join a free CPD webinar on late winter and early spring equine worm control.

    Hosted by Zoetis vet Dr Wendy Talbot, the webinar aims to help prescribers understand which parasites are of most concern at this time of year. It will also cover how to assess parasite risk, selecting a suitable wormer and spring wormer plans, concluding with a Q&A session.
