Boehringer Ingelheim named Top Employer in the UK
Boehringer Ingelheim employs more than 700 staff in the UK.

Certification demonstrates BI's dedication to 'a better world of work'

Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) has been recognised as a Top Employer in the UK, demonstrating the company's dedication to supporting its workers and creating a better working environment.

The pharmaceutical and animal health company has more than 700 staff in the UK, headquarters in Bracknell and a manufacturing site in Pirbright.

It is a family-owned company that focuses on scientific innovation; striving to create novel therapies which improve people's lives.

Uday Bose, UK managing director, said: “Our work at BI is inspired by patients and animals and our opportunity to positively impact their health. We know that unless we take care of our own people, we cannot fulfil our purpose.

“As a family-owned company we have always been able to plan for generations rather than fiscal quarters and this has enabled us to create a unique culture where we can truly place our employees at the heart of our efforts.

“Accordingly, it is wonderful to be recognised as a Top Employer as this reflects our continuous efforts to create an environment for our employees where they can thrive both professionally and personally, whilst making a difference to people’s lives.”

The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organisations based on the results of its HR Best Practices Survey. This survey covers six areas consisting of 20 topics such as people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion and more.

The programme has certified and recognised more than 1,600 Top Employers in 120 countries and regions across five continents.
