Veterinary Surgeon – Bovingdon, Hertfordshire

Full-time vet needed from March for a small, friendly, fiercely independent small animal practice.

About us

Hope Vets is a family-run practice in Bovingdon, right on the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire border. The clinic is rural with lovely surroundings, but still only 10 minutes drive from Chesham and Hemel Hempstead, with great road and train links, including to London.

We are an RCVS accredited GP practice with high standards and a firm belief in taking the time to develop relationships with our clients and patients and offering a very individualised approach to our care.

Our small but vibrant team has high standards, but achieves them in a cheerful and fun working atmosphere. We laugh together, cry together, and feel good about the jobs we do. Our team welcomes all-comers, the only necessity is a love of the job and a drive to help both patients and people.

About the role

We are recruiting for a full-time veterinary surgeon to join us from March.

We have long consult slots, great case continuity and our vets do a mix of operating and consulting every day. Our whole team works collaboratively to get the best results and there is always support available for more complex cases and procedures.

Any other skills or traits you bring can enhance our team and we can use them to continue to improve the way we work.

Accommodation is available: a three-bed detached house with a large garden and off-road parking. It’s next door to the practice, but completely separate.

Package

  • 35 hours a week
  • Every other Saturday morning and a fixed day off
  • No out of hours
  • Salary commensurate with experience
  • Pension
  • RCVS registration
  • CPD allowance
  • Accommodation available
