Veterinary surgeon – Dorking, Surrey


Shotter & Byers Equine Veterinary Services is an independent practice looking for an enthusiastic veterinary surgeon (one year plus) experience to join its diverse and ever-expanding equine ambulatory practice.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for a veterinary surgeon with a passion for patient and client care to develop their clinical knowledge, working alongside experienced veterinary surgeons across a broad client base. From racing and polo yards, sports horses and leisure horses, the practice offers veterinary care across all disciplines.

The successful applicant will be included on a weeknight and weekend rota, supported by a friendly, forward-thinking team. The package includes Continuing Professional Development, funded VDS and RCVS membership subscriptions.

The practice offers a competitive package, and a work vehicle will be supplied.

  • RCVS Knowledge appoints Veterinary Evidence editor-in-chief
    Blog SpotRCVS Knowledge has welcomed Professor Peter Cockcroft as editor-in-chief for Veterinary Evidence.

    A world-renowned expert in evidence-based veterinary medicine, Prof Cockcroft will lead the strategic development and editorial quality of the open-access journal. He was previously in the role from 2017-2020.

    Katie Mantell, CEO of RCVS Knowledge, said: "We are excited about the extensive knowledge of evidence-based veterinary medicine and clinical veterinary research that Peter brings, and we look forward to working with him over this next phase of the journal's development."
